Accessibility

Grivet Outdoors wants everyone to be able to shop with us, online and in our stores. We work to make grivetoutdoors.com usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification and voice control.

Our standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as the standard for our website. We test new and changed pages with automated accessibility tools and with keyboard-only navigation, and we fix problems as we find them.

Recent work

  • Main menu dropdowns open and close from the keyboard, announce whether they are open, and close with the Escape key.
  • Product color, size and width choices tell screen readers which option is selected and whether it is in stock.
  • The add-to-cart confirmation is announced and keeps keyboard focus inside it until you close it.
  • Filtering a collection returns keyboard focus to the filter you used and announces the updated results.
  • Text colors, buttons and links meet WCAG contrast requirements, and small controls meet minimum target sizes.
  • Product image galleries, maps and videos have text labels.

Third-party content

Some features on our site come from other companies, such as product reviews, embedded maps and videos, and checkout and payment pages. We choose providers that support accessibility and work with them when we find problems, but we do not control all of their code.
