A-30 NH Metric Compass

Whether you're pushing through dense Southeastern timber or learning orienteering, the A-30 is our go-to compass for hikers who want a reliable backup. Its jewel-bearing steel needle turns smoothly and stays accurate, while the magnifying lens and luminescent markings keep map work easy in low light.

• Jewel-bearing, high-grade steel needle gives accurate, stable bearings without batteries or electronics to fail
• Transparent baseplate with metric scales and a magnifying lens lets you read map detail and measure distance quickly
• Luminescent markings stay readable under thick canopy, at dawn, or on a late-day finish
• Balanced for the northern hemisphere with fixed declination, so it works right out of the box across the Southeast
• Built in Finland by Suunto, a compact, lightweight tool for hiking, trail running, hunting, and orienteering
