Active Fleece Hinged Balaclava

When temps drop on the trail or the ridge, this hinged balaclava gives you the flexibility to run warm or breathe easy without stopping to dig through your pack. Smartwool's active fleece construction manages moisture and holds heat without the clammy feel of synthetic alternatives. The hinged design drops the face panel in seconds — no awkward fumbling mid-effort.

• Hinged face panel lets you vent or cover up on the fly without breaking stride
• Active fleece fabric wicks moisture while retaining warmth in cold, damp conditions
• One-size construction fits most heads with enough stretch to layer under a helmet or hood
• Best for cold-weather trail runs, winter hikes, and early-morning hunts when temps swing fast
• Merino-blend feel keeps it from itching against your face on long efforts
