The Grivet Take
The Triumph 21 is older Saucony stock, the premium max-cushion neutral from before the platform redesign that brought PWRRUN PB foam in the v22. Runs 37/27 stack with a 10mm drop, PWRRUN+ supercritical TPU-blend foam, and a traditional Saucony last. Best for daily easy miles, long runs, and walkers who want a plush max-cushion neutral at closeout pricing. Skip it for speed work or race-day; this is a cruise-pace shoe. Customers wanting the current Triumph experience should look at the v22 or v23.

Support
Support TypeSupport Type describes how much built-in guidance the shoe has. Neutral shoes do not add support structure. Stability shoes use geometry, rails, firmer foam, or frame designs to create a more guided feel. Motion control shoes are the maximum-support category and are rare in modern running.

PlatformPlatform describes the width and shape of the shoe's base underfoot. A wider platform can feel steadier even when the shoe is neutral. This is separate from Support Type.
Standard platform
How it fits
Fits true to size with a traditional Saucony last; standard width toe box, normal volume, secure midfoot and heel hold. Available in Standard (B) only for women's.
How it feels
Cushion is high; PWRRUN+ foam reads soft and compliant underfoot, plusher than EVA but firmer than the PWRRUN PB found in newer Triumph versions. Energy return is moderate. Forefoot rocker is mild; the geometry is traditional rather than rockered. Best at easy and steady-state pace.

Tech, translated
PWRRUN+ is Saucony's supercritical TPU-blend foam, the predecessor to the current PWRRUN PB (PEBA) found in the v22 and v23. Plusher than EVA, less responsive than PEBA, with good durability across the lifespan of the shoe.
