The Grivet Take
The Endorphin Shift 3 is older Saucony stock from the original Endorphin lineup era, the max-cushion long-run training shoe before the platform was succeeded by the Endorphin Trainer and Azura. 38/34 stack with a 4mm drop, plush PWRRUN+ foam, SPEEDROLL forefoot rocker, and a wide platform. Best for daily easy miles, long runs, and recovery days at closeout pricing. Skip it if you want modern PEBA foam or any plate assist; the Shift is a soft, traditional cruiser. Customers wanting the modern equivalent should look at the Endorphin Trainer or Azura.

Support
Support TypeSupport Type describes how much built-in guidance the shoe has. Neutral shoes do not add support structure. Stability shoes use geometry, rails, firmer foam, or frame designs to create a more guided feel. Motion control shoes are the maximum-support category and are rare in modern running.

How it fits
Fits true to size with a standard Saucony last. Toe box is standard width with normal volume. Midfoot is normal, heel hold is good. Available in Standard (B) only for women's. The wide platform underfoot makes the shoe feel steady without committing to a stability category.
How it feels
Cushion is at the top of the scale; PWRRUN+ foam reads soft and plush. SPEEDROLL forefoot rocker rolls the foot smoothly through toe-off. The 4mm drop and wide platform produce a stable, smooth long-run feel. Energy return is moderate; the foam protects more than it propels. Best at easy and steady-state pace.

Tech, translated
PWRRUN+ is Saucony's supercritical TPU-blend foam, the predecessor to the PEBA-based PWRRUN PB in newer Saucony shoes. Plusher than EVA, less responsive than PEBA.
SPEEDROLL is Saucony's forefoot rocker geometry that, combined with the lower 4mm drop in the Shift line, produces a smooth roll-through transition.
