Inov 8 begin the Arrow System in 2003. You can see the arrow at the lower heel of the shoe and it represents the drop which is the heel to toe forefoot differential. The more arrow, the bigger the drop and increased underfoot cushioning while the fewer arrows, increased underfoot responsiveness.

The midsole of the shoe has a Powerflow technology that helps with the shock absorption and better energy return compared to the normal one.

The shoes also have Shanks that help with flexibility, control, and protection of the feet.

Inov 8 has teamed up with Gore and comes up with Gore-Tex that makes the shoes waterproof.
