Ten Tree and Parks Project: Brands that Give Back for the Greater Good
Preserving the majesty of nature is more important than ever before. The changing climate and reduced funding means that our natural world could be on the brink of collapse. In response to this dilemma, many nature-inspired retailers have stepped up to bat and have joined the fight for conservation. These retailers are giving back to the environment by providing a portion of the income they generate from the sales of the products they offer to renowned organizations that are dedicated to protecting the earth. Two of the most notable brands include Ten Tree and Parks Project. If you find yourself connected with nature and want to join the cause by shopping with a retailer that gives back, read on to learn about these two acclaimed brands.

About Ten Tree
David Luba and Kalen Emsley founded Ten Tree in 2012. The best friends wanted to do something to help preserve the natural world that they loved so much, so they decided to launch a retail company that would be committed to doing just that, and Ten Tree was born. The company's mission was simple: they would plant ten trees for every item purchased from their establishment to reach the goal of planting $1 billion trees by the year 2030. While their objective was undoubtedly impressive, soon after they launched their operation, they quickly realized that starting a clothing company that supported the environment wasn't enough and they needed to do more than just plant trees; they needed to become an "Earth first" brand.
Ten Tree's team is committed to learning about the environment and the impact humans have on it. They are dedicated to finding ways that they can have a positive impact on nature through the "ever thread" of their business. To date, they have had a big impact on reduction of CO2 emissions, water conservation, and waste reduction, and their impact strengthens every day.

About Parks Project
Like Ten Tree, the people behind Parks Project realized that there was a dire need to preserve the national parks. With reduced funding, increased visitation, and the changing climate, they wanted to join the effort to keep these national treasures. They have built partnerships with like-minded organizations across the nation, including Yosemite Conservancy, Yellowstone Forever, National Park Foundation, Grand Canyon Conservancy, and more. For every article of clothing they sell, Parks Project donates a portion of their proceeds to these notable organizations, who then use those proceeds to fight their specific cause.
Since 2014, when Parks Project was established with meager beginnings, the organization and its partners have given back more than $1.2 to national parklands. Their commitment to park conservation only grows stronger with each passing day. Whether it's by launching a new website or extending the line of products they offer, Parks Project continues to give back to the national parks, and their efforts show no signs of stopping; in fact, the more they give back, the more their commitment is strengthened.
