I’ve worn these in the rain and also while sweating buckets coaching cross country. These babies are the real deal!!!!
Like the way these hit the ground. Its too early talk of how they perform and or last. Currently liking them.
The Altra King Mt shoes are very comfy and super grippy. They are my favorite all around shoe, be it for hiking off trail or wearing in the office. I love the roomy toe box; the velcro instep strap that keeps the shoe in place on my narrow feet; and the zero drop. Before these, my go to shoe had been the Altra Lone Peaks (which I liked a LOT), but these have even those beat. My only disappointment with the King Mt is that the soles seem to wear down pretty quickly.
I really like this show and the service was awesome. I ended up going with something with more ankle support. I’ll be back.
I love this shoe. I wear it for in door obstacle course running. Maybe think about getting an extra wide if your foot is a little wider.
I bought these particular trail runners for work. I have an active police job that requires running. I liked the color because it's all dark and mostly black so it looks clean and uniformed without any bright or flashy colors.
I have been wearing zero drop, wide toe box footwear entirely for a year which has helped reduce foot/knee/hip pain. These are slightly less wide than street running Altra shoes but then again they have to be supportive for rougher terrain.
Took them off road running through water, mud, grass, hills, ditches, gravel, rocks, etc to really feel them out. Good feel, traction and footing was always superb, feet stayed dry, and cleaned up/dried off easily by hosing them down and sitting in the sun. Worth the money and so far seem to be a great quality. I would definitely recommend the purchase.
I have been running in Altras for many years now and just absolutely love them.
Grips the ground well while trail running. Able to feel the environment with the minimal show frame. Velcro helps lock shoe into place. Can’t wait to try it at my next Spartan event!
I know it’s their business model to design with ample toe room, but I was impressed as to the difference it made in comfort while running. Comfortable sole, zero drop and your foot just feels natural while running. I also pronate and this shoe seems to help. Great shoe, I’ll be coming back for more.
Lightweight, cool, comfortable, and good SPF protection to keep my noggin safe from the UV rays...
This is my second pair of this model, which I use for trail riding on an mtb with flat pedals. The wide toe box is great, and the sole is soft enough to engage the pins. The zero drop is an added benefit when walking or running, and "cured" my shin splints.
